Most Single Mothers experience single motherhood problems as a result of widowhood or divorce. Single mothers often turn to their immediate and extended families for various forms of child care and parenting support, but incase they dont find this satisfactory help then its worse.

We as Single Mothers Association are set to uplift single mothers in East Africa by giving them the time, guidance and opportunities to develop careers while also raising their children positively. Parenting support from our single mothers’ association allows women to eventually support themselves and their children independently.

Stressors faced by single parent families; Visitation and custody problems.The effects of continuing conflict between the parents.Less opportunity for parents and children to spend time together.Effects of the breakup on children’s school performance and peer relations.Disruptions of extended family relationships.Problems caused by the parents’ dating and entering new relationships.

Our Single Mothers Association cussions and helps family members face these difficulties by talking with each other about their feelings and working together to tackle problems. Support from friends, other family members, and places of worship can help too. But if family members are still overwhelmed and having problems, it may be time to consult our experts and licensed mental health professionals.
